Upgrading of Design drawings:
A complete engineered drawing is a crucial part of a fall protection system. The engineered drawing should include the following;
- Location of the fall protection components,
- Connection detail and applicable loads
- Use classification,
- Number of user rating,
- Safe work instructions,
- Maintenance and inspection requirements, and
- Must be signed and sealed by a professional engineer.
Incomplete engineered drawing expose workers to making unnecessary errors in installation, safe use and proper maintenance. When faced with old and/or incomplete engineered drawing it is prudent to upgrade the drawings to ensure conformity with current applicable Standards, Codes and regulations.
