Upgrading of Design drawings:

A complete engineered drawing is a crucial part of a fall protection system.  The engineered drawing should include the following;

  • Location of the fall protection components,
  • Connection detail and applicable loads
  • Configuration,
  • Use classification,
  • Number of user rating,
  • Restrictions,
  • Safe work instructions,
  • Maintenance and inspection requirements, and
  • Must be signed and sealed by a professional engineer.

Incomplete engineered drawing expose workers to making unnecessary errors in installation, safe use and proper maintenance. When faced with old and/or incomplete engineered drawing it is prudent to upgrade the drawings to ensure conformity with current applicable Standards, Codes and regulations.
